A non painting day

School back.  Everyone bangs on about how great it is when kids go back to school, blah blah blah.  I found myself following the same cars, from school to kindy on the 'big drop off' in the morning, kindy mums are funny with their flashy SUVs and their oversized sunglasses - all hurrying off to the gym and coffee dates "thank GOD schools back" is all i heard over and over.
MEH - we are back into a routine - which is good and bad.  the kids were actually happy to go back to school and see their friends, but our nice routines i worked so hard on establishing are overs.



So today i had a "non" renovating day.  it involves dropping kids at school with stationary, taking Mr Mac to get his cast off - YAH! all healing well, it can stay off, he has a bumpy bone but it will apparently straighten out with time - GOOD.


Ive got a guy coming tomorrow to measure up for carpet - exciting! It takes a few weeks to get this booked in - so getting a quote now and looking at colour options - Collins Floor Xtra are good people, i like them a lot.

Its so annoying when real life gets in your way when your renovating, things like supermarket shopping (which i hate passionately), cleaning your real house and doing washing - all boring! luckily for me, even though i didn't plan it into my day i did manage to sneak to the house for an hr and a half and get this wallpaper up!! Feature wallpaper for less than $40! exciting!

Im still working on the bench top - the filler i used turned out arse - as in just awful.  so I'm going to have to do something about that! I'm still debating the options of chipping the filler out or trying a stain.
