i don't mind being by myself

Someone said to me today - don't you mind being all by yourself all day? that person does not have children.

I have a permanent date with Kathryn Ryan on RNZ National 9-12pm.  THIS sounded amazing today - we are very lucky we live in NZ.  http://www.radionz.co.nz/national/programmes/ninetonoon/audio/201788671/old-ghost-road-trail

I have to be better at taking breaks, when i don't have any kids with me like today and yesterday i tend to work straight through - no lunch - no stopping.  super unhealthy!  So tomorrow will be better I've got Mac Attack with me because its not a kindy day - which means morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea breaks - plus probably a trip to the dreaded supermarket. eeeekkk!!

This edging is looking TIGHT!!!

BORING! sanding back and scraping window

Stopping all done. A big big sanding day tomorrow. Lucky for me Reilly has gotten a massive vacuum. industrial sized, and it hooks up to the back of the sander - this means that (fingers crossed) 75% of the sanding dust is going to get sucked up up up and away - and not get its gritty self in my eyes! Its a beast of a thing and sounds like a rocket engine.  Meanwhile - i had to replace the disc head on my orbital sander - got a bit carried away being distracted, tired and hungry - totally stuffed my sander :(  not happy!!

  1. One of the most fulfilling things in life is building or fixing something with your own hands, that would have otherwise been thrown away. Though it's a lot of hard work, it's definitely very rewarding. Now that my wife and I are in our 60's, and have lived in the house we built 45 years ago, I don't think twice about calling up the experts to come do it for me! Enjoy your youth!
