Geez Louise! Tough tough day today. BUT - we survived!!! We are indeed still kicking it (what we are kicking, i have no idea but its definitely not ass).

We ripped into it first thing, pulled this big rotten window out, smashed out the framing and had a good tidy up.
It was funny, once we had this big gaping hole, i looked at Reilly - "Whats next boss". He looked a bit blank for a minute and had to sit down and have a think! EEEKKK!
He was just kidding, he had a plan and off we went!

Thankfully the doors and framing we made yesterday fit straight in - and to be honest, we weren't 100% sure it going to work out until that all important first fit. Reilly has done an amazing amazing job, his workings out have been spot on, the doors, when they were hung, fit together PERFECTLY, which essentially means that its square. Hooray! Basically we had four separate panels and no framing, Reilly sat down with a tiny little notebook, drew some lines, measured and calculated and produced a cut list. We worked together to strip down some treated pine he had procured, and then lego blocked it into shape around the panels. Glued and nailed it off and boom. French Doors. He spent the evening chiseling out the hinges, while i put up a few more tiles in the kitchen. We have no TV, we're weird i know, but we get a lot done.
I have a list of finishing jobs to do now starting tomorrow, but its great that they are in, its weather tight and all locked up.
I have to admit though, we got to about 1pm and i had totally had enough. Sat down to eat something and thought, boy oh boy, i could lie down and have a sleep right now. or a holiday, or maybe just a day off. So i'm aiming for a day off - Thursday this week - I'm having a DAY OFF! Im pretty excited about that.
