What a relief!

A few things today - on Saturday afternoon, we had to get some of the exterior bricks off to put the french doors in - no problemo!  My brother the brick layer came down to give us some help with the brick cutting etc, handy that.  But there was this window sill, and being the confident DIYer that i am, i thought to myself - you got this girl! smash it out.  Well, i did smash something, but it wasn't a brick - it was my hand.  Probably a lot of why i was feeling so rubbish was because my hand had blown up like a ballon and it has been throbbing away like crazy.

This morning we have a sick kid, so off to the the doctors for him, while we were there i had my hand looked at. its fine, soft tissue, not bone, so heres some pain relief and off you go.

Sometimes you don't know how sore something is until its not sore anymore.  SO - i spent the rest of the day bogging, sanding, gap filling, undercoating and then 3 layers of enamel, to get the exterior of the doors all sorted.

Originally crimson, they look a whole lot better now.  In fact, they look like they fit in with the other windows so well, you would think it was on purpose, just luck? or did we plan it like this?

Ive got the interior finishing to do tomorrow, thats exciting because once its finally done, i can hang my last set of curtains. Woo Hoo!! Meanwhile, nothing is happening in the laundry yet.  Hopefully  something on Friday!
